Literature Text

Whenever I close my eyes to hide away from this bitter world laden with chaos
Or when I mute my ears to resist the bombastic clutter of ignorance
  Her face slowly fades into a brilliance
  Her voice slowly sings a tune of passionate defiance
And I realize that I will never cease to fall in love with her presence:
Her beauty immerses those before her in a pool of light
  With a distinct glow that baffles the blind, startles the sun,
    And captivates my reluctant heart

But we share a delicate bond that lovers are not entitled to share:
Behind every thought, every glance, every rhyme lies the twisted ironic truth;

"We're too close to be any closer"

I feel unworthy to even imagine my trembling, anxious lips cradling her tender, alluring face; I rightly reverence her so.
   Each time I grasp the ember imparted by her affirming embrace of immense comfort, I can't help but ask,
   "Am I too free in her arms to be liberated?"

She probably has no time for my timid heart anyway...
   But I have plenty of time to picture our bonded hands swaying back and forth as we look down and smile upon the envious skies
You know whenever you like someone, but they are a really good friend of yours? This is about that internal conflict. Small little writing, but I like it. Critiques always rock. Grammatical critiques welcome too, just for you alice ;-P
